Your perception of ...Well written my little sister. Your perception of the impact of social networking is unfortunately very accurate. I did see a comment on these two in some article that spoke to their academic excellence. One observation I will add to yours is I have seen an explosion of parental focus on grades. There are now tens of thousands of driven children who leave high school and their home to suddenly have so much freedom. They have never developed inter personal skills, never thought much about anyone except being in the top the percent nor had any ability to test their own limits. We are graduating far too many students that are all about me and how smart I am only to find they are socially inept. Corporations and businesses are struggling with the weight of these new employees, who are in it for ME. Not that Corporate america is without blame they have take retirement and turned their back on the employees who made them great.It would be an interesting study to look at children who are driven to succeed (by their middle class parents). I have a feeling one would find many interesting observations that support much of the current culture swing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
